Cadet Draftsperson (Tekla)
JOB TITLE: Cadet Draftsperson (Tekla)
JOB TYPE: Fulltime (Assuming a 3-Month Casual Trial is Successful) 38 Hours per week.
LOCATION: 2/32 Takalvan Street, Svensson Heights (Bundaberg) QLD 4670.
REPORTING TO: Director/Senior Staff members.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interpreting structural and architectural drawings.
- Ensure Drawings and specifications are complete & accurate.
- Complete 3D models of Structural Steelwork & Tilt Panels using Tekla Structures.
- Edit 2D Drawings using Tekla Structures as directed.
- Make corrections as required.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Coordinate and carry out all office administration including reception, mail, couriers, greeting clients and filing.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Cleaning Toilet, kitchen areas including Vacuum, and wiping down surfaces weekly.
- Taking Rubbish out when required.
- Other tasks as directed.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
- Year 12 High School Certificate, (Or working towards)
- High Grades in General Math’s, and Graphics/computer aided design (CAD) (Advantageous)
Experience:
- Exposure to CAD, Steel Fabrication, welding or the like is advantageous
Skills:
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Organized and able to meet deadlines
- Attention to Detail
- Problem Solving
- Ability to Visual a design
- Ability to Start & Finish a Given task
PERFORMANCE GOALS:
- Complete tasks on time
- Ensure office is clean and presentable at all times
- Deal with suppliers and other employees professionally at all times
SALARY:
- This is an entry level Position, After a successful trial, a Salary Starting at $45,000 pa, with Yearly Pay Reviews based on your progress into the Role.

- Minimum 2-5 years experience in Steel detail Drafting With references
- Minimum 2 Years Experience using Tekla Structures

SALARY:
- After a successful trial, an Attractive salary will be negotiated depending on experience $60,000 - $90,000 pa with Yearly Pay Reviews.
